We cook with the freshest ingredients. Fresh produce is always available. During the summer months we gather fresh herbs from the gardens around the home.
Dietary department is on two rotating cycle menus. Fall/Winter menu which has more stews, soups, and hardy cold weather meals and Spring /Summer menu there are sandwiches, salads and lighter meals for the hot weather.
Holidays, birthdays and any day we welcome families to join their veteran for a meal. Calling ahead is greatly appreciated if there are more than one joining them for a meal.
Whether a resident is fighting an illness, needs to lose a few pounds or simply maintain their health, a dietitian lays out the personal goal. The dietitian is on site and meets veterans face to face. They also work with health care professionals to develop nutrition plans that are needed and evaluate the plans effectiveness.
